In
this experiential workshop, the participants are introduced to core
shamanism and the universal methods used to enter nonordinary reality.
Emphasis is placed on the classic shamanic journey and on exploration
of the hidden universe, known otherwise through myth and dream. Participants
are initiated into journeying, aided by traditional shamanic drumming.
Practice includes comparisons of individual shamanic journeys, as
well as work on personal problem solving. Participants are provided
with methods for journeying which can lead to discovery of a personal
spirit teacher. They also learn how shamanism can be applied in contemporary
daily life.
